Forum Friday June 2nd
Marketing and Sales: A love story
According to the latest statistics, 40% of leads that close come from marketing, so sales must generate 60%. Jordi Gili, managing director at Execus, a social selling consulting and training company, will be talking about the alignment between marketing and sales and how this facilitates business growth in the digital age.
Four key areas will be discussed:
Allbound marketing approach
Corporate and Personal Dimensions
Customer lifetime value
The offline customer relationship
Big data in the Oil and Gas industry
Big data seems to be everywhere, and it actually is: we continuously produce huge amounts of data which can now be analysed for trends, patterns and such. Some are heralding big data as the “new oil”, meaning that data is not just about information, but also about value and power.
In this context, what opportunities arise in the O&G industry for applying big data? The O&G industry has actually relied on data for many of its key activities, but with access to big data these opportunities may increase exponentially in several areas:
Exploration: finding reservoirs
Production and operations: optimization and efficiency
Safety and risk control: increasing security and managing and mitigating risks
Ricardo Torres Kompen, Professor at La Salle Campus Barcelona, Universitat Ramon Llull, will join us on the sofa to discuss this and more for the final Forum Friday of the semester.
