GBS Students Access the Inner Workings of Economic Diplomacy

We recently welcomed Dr. Alexei Kireyev to our Geneva Campus to lead a discussion on Crisis Prevention and Crisis Resolution.

Dr. Kireyev works as a Senior Economist and Team Leader at the International Monetary Fund. IMF “is an organization of 189 countries, working to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world.”

Over the past 15 years working with the IMF, Dr. Kireyev has led advance missions and complex negotiations to IMF member countries.

During the conference he conducted a virtual IMF negotiation and navigated the complexities of dealing with government bodies and interested parties.

We are sure that all those in attendance gained a greater understanding of the nature of complex negotiations at such a high level. As a result, developing their knowledge and confidence to apply what they learned to future business dealings.
