Fixing the Future: Adventures in a Better Tomorrow
This was the theme of a recent conference at the CCCB held on Tuesday March 13th, which was attended by a number of interested students who were invited by two faculty members.
The Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) is “a multidisciplinary institution with a programme that features exhibitions, debates, festivals, concerts, film, courses, workshops etc.” Currently they also have an exhibition on entitled After the End of the World about our society’s responsibility to the generations who will be born and grow up in it. This was therefore the perfect location for this event, not only for space, but also the themes that were being covered on this day.
The event consisted of a full day of projects on the future of the planet being presented by 10 revolutionary changemakers. It was organized by Atlas of the Future, the newspaper Ara and the CCCB.
For more details about each of the presentations, you can read the complete article here.
The student feedback was hugely positive! So much so, one of our students wrote about his experience, which you can read here.
It’s really important for us at GBS that we make sure our students’ learning goes beyond the classroom, which is why we ensure we attend as many events such as these as possible.
