Anna Zelno shortlisted
in the European Diversity Awards
Anna Zelno, Cross-Cultural Communication Professor at Geneva Business School, has been shortlisted in the European Diversity Awards. The awards, now in their tenth year, celebrate the best examples of diversity throughout the whole European continent.
This year’s event will take place in The Landmark Hotel, London, on November 14, 2019, and features three new categories. The Diversity Ally of the Year, the HR Champion of the Year and the Media Icon of the Year. Such a positive event is a welcome respite from the division and negativity that is peaking across the world. Events like this, therefore, can remind us that a lot of good is happening in the world.
Companies play their part in the awards by sponsoring an award. If Zelno is to win her award, it will be presented by Manchester United football club. Among other sponsors, you can find HSBC, DHL, Accenture, and more.
Anna, who recently joined the Geneva Business School faculty, has been shortlisted for the “Inspirational Role Model” category. This kind of recognition does not come easily. In around the year 2004, Zelno transformed her passion into a job and has been involved with intercultural studies and diversity.
Among the usual winners of these awards are charities, community groups, and campaigners. This makes Anna Zelno’s achievement all the more impressive. Her outstanding contribution as a trainer and consultant of intercultural skills and diversity management has caused waves in the business world.
Now more than ever, cross-cultural communication is a crucial skill in global business. Therefore, Geneva Business School is lucky to have Anna Zelno on our teaching staff. In classes, students learn about how best to use diversity in the workplace, which is especially helpful in our international environment.
