Welcome Week Fall 2019 – Everything you want to know

Welcome Week Fall 2019
is almost here! We can’t wait to meet our new students and introduce them to GBS Campus lifestyle in Geneva, Barcelona & Madrid, the team, staff & faculty who will be supporting them throughout their GBS journey.

What to expect?
The Academic Teams at Geneva, Barcelona, and Madrid Campus have prepared interesting, inspiring, learning & fun activities such as:

  • Team-Building activity in Geneva Campus, led by Mr Jonathan Cave, international lawyer, leadership expert, and Founder of MyPhy.

  • Welcome to Switzerland Bootcamp: Learn everything you need to know about medical insurance, bank accounts and student permit in Switzerland.

  • Meet your Professors Apero: Get inside tips on which courses to choose and how to succeed for the semester from the best: your professors from Geneva Campus

  • Google For Education Workshop: Learn with this Google Workshop how to use Google to make the best out of your academic journey at GBS. Learn about the useful (and often unknown) tools and functionalities of Gmail, Agenda, Keep, Google Forum, Google Doc, and Google Classroom in Geneva Campus.

  • A complete cultural immersion into Geneva streets, monuments and most important sites in a tour, tailored for GBS students.

  • Warner Park in Madrid: Generate deeper connections with classmates while having fun. One last moment of relax & fun with GBS before classes start.

  • Getting to know Madrid: Get to know your new city and how it works in a fun and engaging way.

  • Living in Madrid: Legal & reallocation orientation for Madrid Campus students by MoveMe, a reallocation company specialized in students who come to Spain, to do an academic exchange, bachelor or postgraduate program.

  • GBS Classes taster day in Barcelona Campus: Get prepared for classes at our subjects and skills taster sessions: you’ll meet some key members of the faculty, get to know your fellow students, and get a feel for what real classes are going to be like so you can quickly settle in to a stress-free uni life. Sessions include; Mindfulness, Equality and Diversity, Spanish, Teamwork, Networking and more…

  • Case Study Challenge – Barcelona Campus: Solve the case and win a prize. New students, lead by faculty member Nicola Jackman and mentored by our student ambassadors, will be challenged to find and pitch what they believe to be the best solution – each team will compete in our round-robin, and, using feedback from the judges, our lucky finalists will compete to decide the winner.

  • Closing BBQ on the epic Barcelona Campus terrace, and the Case Study Challenge Final Round, the greatest environment for sharing and closing this week full of fun.

Do not forget to bring good vibes, an open-mind for learning, your culture to share with others and a smile because this is just starting and it will get even better. We’re looking forward to meeting you all on September 16th!
