Topic: Business Strategy in a Creative Environment

Our guest speaker worked within a video game company which is largely comprised of creative and innovative individuals. In addition, the company is 17 years old and has functioned in a very informal fashion since its inception. This gave rise to a number of challenges that Max did not face in his previous job at PwC. These challenges had an impact on having an understanding of people’s heterogeneous motivations and being able to put himself in their shoes and think about what they value is key to enacting change. Max will be talking about these difficulties he faced as it was a great learning experience and motivation to be exposed to different ways of problem-solving and innovative solutions.
