Frode Hvaring is an international Human Resources, Culture and Leadership expert.

He held various Executive and Advisory roles, among which: Deputy Director in a Swiss employers’ association, regional HR Business Partner in Credit Suisse Group, CEO/Partner in Management Consulting, global Head of HR in a large Caterpillar subsidiary, and global Head of HR at EBU-Eurovision, the World’s largest association of broadcasters.

Early 2017 Frode co-founded Newind, a boutique consulting firm based both in Geneva and Singapore, to advise international companies and institutions in areas such as HR Digital transformation, Cultural Intelligence and corporate Smart-sizing.

In parallel, Frode is also sharing his varied experience in Boards and Advisory Boards, as an executive Coach, with Start-ups and in the Geneva IMD Alumni Committee.

He is a frequent speaker and facilitator in events and debates on Leadership, Cross-cultural efficacy, Diversity, Digital HR transformation and next Generations mindshift.

Frode has a Masters (hons) in Economics, Management and Innovation from Fribourg University, Switzerland and attended Executive Business post-grads at IMD, Lausanne and Thunderbird, Phoenix. He is finalizing a Doctorate on the subject of Cultural Intelligence, in a joint programme between Grenoble Ecole de Management and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa. He is fluent in 8 languages, up to now.

From Global Head of HR to Consultant

Norwegian-born Frode will talk about his unusually varied career path, with a particular accent on his last 8 years’ as global HHR in EBU-Eurovision, a 500 people strong Member organization based in Geneva where he radically transformed the HR function, through new tools, a new HR operating model and a highly Customer & Member-centric mindset.

He will also exchange with the audience on why, how and where Digital Transformation and Cultural Intelligence are becoming among the most thrilling areas of study and work over the coming years.

He may thereto be able to spend a few words on, the company he co-founded with another renowned HR and Leadership expert.

They are principally active in:

  • Providing international companies with research-based, innovative solutions for developing their human capital talent and improving cultural intelligence (CQ) at the individual, team and organizational level.
  • Helping HR departments with their most complex projects: creating a future-proof new HR blueprint; selection of digital HR solutions; re-skilling of HR Management and Staff, etc…
