Dr. Jaime de Melo

Emeritus professor at the University of Geneva, and scientific director at Fondation pour les études et recherches sur le développement international (FERDI), an invited professor at the Johns Hopkins University Bologna Center, and a non-resident scholar at the Brookings Institute. He worked at USAID from 1972 to 1976, taught at Georgetown University from 1976-80 and at the University of Geneva from 1993-2012. From 1980 to 1993, he held various positions in the research Department of the World Bank. He serves on several editorial boards and was editor-in-chief of the World Bank Economic Review, 2005-2010.
