Software Company Fluendo Impressed by GBS Students!
On June 11, Geneva Business School invited two executives from Fluendo, a Barcelona-based software company, to attend a student presentation that focused on the company’s most recent product, Rift Analyst, a video analysis software designed to record and analyze a player’s performances of the popular video game and esports sensation, League of Legends.
The presentation was the culmination of a semester-long project during which the Geneva Business School students were tasked with creating sustainable marketing strategies for the company with the goal of growing the new software’s popularity.
The students’ proposals were very well-received by Fluendo’s Marketing Communications Director, Maye Mac-Swiney, and Chief Applications Architect Andoni Morales. “I cannot believe the students did all this work for just one subject! The paper is really in depth and impressive”, Mrs. Mac-Swiney told professor Dag Flachet of Geneva Business School.
In appreciation of their time and effort, Fluendo invited the students and their professor to the Rift Analyst Cup, an amateur League of Legends competition which took place in front of a live audience as part of Imagin Extreme Barcelona, an annual extreme sports festival held in Parc del Fórum.
This story is just one of the many examples of companies and Geneva Business School coming together to offer students real life, current case studies with real implications in their business environments.
