Unlock Your Mind

Mental Hygiene: 13 May with Shiva Roofeh

Come to a new series of biweekly virtual sessions where we discuss soft skills needed for effective leadership such as self-awareness and emotional intelligence. The Unlock your Mind program seeks to bring useful tools to get to know ourselves better, and take necessary actions to enjoy a healthy and balanced state of mind. We will look at topics around mental hygiene, focus and concentration, finding purpose and motivation, and explore the mental tools needed to achieve your goals.

The first in this series will take place on May 13 with our very own Shiva Roofeh, Madrid Campus Director giving a seminar on Mental Hygiene which dives into every leader’s superpower: the power to go within – into the one space where we have ultimate control – our thoughts.

The session will be held online via Google Hangouts Meet and will last 45 minutes with 15 minutes at the end for Q&A.

The first in a new series of virtual sessions centered on mental health and emotional intelligence will take place on May 13 with our very own Shiva Roofeh, Madrid Campus Director giving a seminar on Mental Hygiene which dives into every leader’s superpower: the power to go within – into the one space where we have ultimate control – our thoughts.

Adequate and constant attention to our mental healthcare allows us to open our minds to a path that will help us achieve our dreamed endeavors. According to Maslow (1943, 1954), after satisfying our physiological needs, security, and safety (physical and mental wellbeing) are the next basic requirements that every human being needs to thrive. Good mental healthcare is paramount for building up meaningful, long-lasting relationships, on a personal and professional level. In time, artificial intelligence may be able to outfox some of our hard skills and STEM competencies; yet, make no mistake, the pure essence that makes us human retains an unclonable element, which is fundamentally important to learning how to master in order to succeed in life: Our emotions.
