Our Research Philosophy
An innovative approach to research that contributes to the creation of knowledge and the unity of research and teaching.
Geneva Business School takes an innovative approach to research that contributes to the creation of knowledge and the unity of research and teaching.
Applied research in the classroom
Our faculty all work in their sectors and prize themselves as instructors with hands-on experience which is best shared through project-based learning and the application of research in the classroom. Our research thus prizes engagement and practical value as well as analytical rigor.
We believe that research at Geneva Business School widens opportunities for our students, giving them the chance to explore and thrive in their chosen field. It also has the potential to change cultures, affect sustainable social outcomes, and drive human and business development.
In our classrooms, we use research as an integral part of modern teaching methods. The faculty use case studies and incorporate their own research into course projects and exercises. Within a wider business context, our school employs industry experts to work with students on real-life projects, therefore connecting our research to the industry within which it has an impact.
Research, ethics, and standards
Our research committee holds a deep respect for pluralism, diversity, and academic independence.
Ethics is key to what we do and how we operate. Research projects need to be approved by a research panel that ensures that the projects are aligned with the school’s mission, vision, and values. The panel also looks into the project’s ethical implications and impact on society.
We aim to conduct research that contributes to society and the existing body of knowledge. Our projects involve industry experts who provide a practical perspective on research projects. Internal and external publications are peer-reviewed and require the approval of a research panel.
Research at Geneva Business School supports the high-quality work of our students and faculty and informs the impact we seek to have as a community of academic leaders.
