“International justice cannot be alien to international relations professionals“. We will overview the branch of international criminal law from its origins to its current state, introducing international criminal tribunals, study the role, powers, challenges and limitations of the International Criminal Court, the only permanent tribunal with jurisdiction over mass atrocity crimes, and its relationship with the United Nations and diplomacy. During the program,we will also analyze if criminal liability can be imposed on corporations in international criminal law, holding these global actors accountable for participating in the commission of human rights violations, amounting to international crimes.
