Arriving at Geneva Business School: Excitement and Expectations

First Impressions as an International Student

When I first arrived at Geneva Business School (GBS), I was filled with mixed emotions: a bit stressed but mostly excited. I had high expectations, eager to immerse myself in an international environment, discover new cultures, and make lifelong friends.

Building a Global Community

From the very first week, my experience at GBS exceeded those expectations. There was an immediate sense of cohesion among the new students. We quickly became a small family, supporting and motivating each other.

What truly stood out was the school’s administration, always ready to guide us and provide the right support in every step of our academic journey.

Balancing Studies and Professional Experience

The Value of Part-Time Internships

One of the aspects I appreciated the most during my time at Geneva business school was the ability to balance academics with professional experience. Throughout my three semesters, I was able to alternate between part-time internships and courses, which proved to be the perfect complement.

Courses That Prepare You for the Real World

The courses were highly enriching, equipping me with advanced business knowledge while internships allowed me to put theory into practice. This combination ensured that I was not only prepared academically but also professionally, ready to face the challenges of the business world.

Supportive Faculty and Administration

Another highlight was the accessibility of professors and staff. The faculty was always open to discussion, flexible and supportive. This collaborative approach created a unique learning atmosphere where students were encouraged to grow beyond textbooks.

Master Thesis and Mentorship

Academic Guidance and Expertise

The final stage of my journey was dedicated to my Master Thesis, which was both a challenge and an incredible opportunity. I was fortunate to be mentored by Professor Sergio Broton, a specialist in Artificial Intelligence. His guidance was invaluable, not only in shaping my business plan but also in ensuring academic rigor and strategic depth.

Applying Theory to Practice

This last semester felt like the culmination of everything I had learned at GBS. I was able to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world business scenarios, with the support of highly qualified mentors. It was a deeply rewarding experience that significantly strengthened my professional confidence.

Leadership Week in Madrid

A highlight of this period was the Leadership Week in Madrid, held on another GBS campus. The administration there welcomed me wholeheartedly and I was quickly integrated into the community. The event reinforced the spirit of unity that defines GBS. No matter the campus, the feeling of belonging to one big international family remained the same.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Geneva Business School

Looking back, my journey at Geneva Business School was transformative. From the first day of orientation to my graduation, I felt supported, challenged and inspired. GBS offered much more than quality courses, it provided a family-like environment, strong mentorship, and countless opportunities for personal and professional growth.

To anyone seeking to advance their skills in business, surrounded by qualified professors, a supportive administration and a truly international community : I wholeheartedly recommend Geneva Business School. It’s not just a place to study, it’s a place to belong.

Final Thoughts

My time at GBS has left a lasting impact on my career and personal life. It gave me friends who will remain for years to come, mentors who shaped my vision and the confidence to step into the business world fully prepared. Geneva Business School was not just an academic experience, it was a life-changing journey.
